Fishwiches

In past we’ve seen that that New York City being the melting pot of different cuisines and the concepts is devoid of a good fish sandwich place.

Fishwiches sprouted as a pop-up restaurant concept in 2016. This pop up restaurant opened in International wings factory on the upper East side of New York City.

For longest time we never kept any menus at the restaurant. We circulated some menus through our regular patrons and asked them to further circulate them to their friends and families.

Since the launch of this concept we were supported by the community who frequented us and became a regular patrons. It operated only three days a week for six hours a day.

We carried only limited amount of fish so we recommended guests to order ahead and make sure we had that particular fish for them. Sometimes we ran out in two hours and sometimes until the end of the day. This gave us a very clear picture that people needed a fish sandwich place and we were on the right track.

Since there were less overheads, the menu was priced very fair and super affordable. It started more of as low profit concept.
